Overview:
You will shop on the Teacher's Discovery site to assemble an order, but you will not place your order with them. Rather, you will assemble the order and then email it to ClassWish for us to place.  Please follow these easy directions.
1.   Check Your ClassWish Account Balance and Get Your ClassWish ID#
  • Log into http://ClassWish.org.  Click “My Account” in the upper right corner of any page other than the home page.  The third tab, “Donations Received and Requests Placed,” shows your balance.
  • If you want more supplies than your balance allows, you can make a tax-deductible contribution to your own wish list before or right after you shop.
  • Please make note of your ClassWish account number, which appears within the URL of your wish list page.
Note:
  • We can only obtain the items shown as ‘sole source’ products as shown in the image on the right.  There are about 19,000 of them.
  • We can order from them only if the retail price for the items totals at least $500.
2.   Shopping for the school Supplies You Need
  • When you have donation funds to use (or are about to add your own funds), go to http://www.teachersdiscovery.com/?___store=default.  (To see other vendors for other categories, please go to the home page of this ClassWish vendors site).
  • Shop like you normally would; simply add items to your cart on that website.
  • Do not enter a promo code even if you have one. 
  • Click "Continue" to checkout as a guest.
3.Follow the Process Below.
  • Shipping Address: You must provide the school address.  We cannot ship to your home.  
  • Email: Please enter the same email address as you used to register with ClassWish.org.
  • Phone:  Provide the school phone # in case of delivery problems.
  • Check the "Ship to this address" box for simplicity. You will not be purchasing the items. 
  • Click Continue to proceed with standard shipping.
  • Selected Paypal/CC option and continue.
  • You will be redirected to a PayPal website but you will not be completing a transaction.
Now, submit your request to ClassWish so we can place the order for you.
  • Download this Request Form. Please use this form for your request for items from only a single vendor. If you want to submit requests for items from multiple vendors, please submit separate forms for each.
  • Fill it in as instructed.  The information you provide should match what appears in the shopping cart.
    • Your school's shipping address (circled in green in the illustration to the right)
  • Copy and Paste the entire Shopping Cart (circled in green in the illustration to the right)  into that Request Form.  Be sure it includes all the items, the freight, tax and total.  
  • Disregard the Payment section (the red X in the illustration to the right).  

    • If the total amount of your Request exceeds the amount in your ClassWish account, you can visit your ClassWish page and make a tax-deductible donation to cover the shortfall.  See if your spouse's employer will match that donation.
4.   Emailing Your Request to ClassWish
  • Please review the email to make sure your order is correct and that you did not skip any of the steps.
  • Please add this subject line:  Teacher request for Teacher's Discovery.
  • Then just send that email to Request AT ClassWish.org  (be sure to change the “AT” to an @ sign.  Like many websites, we display it this way to reduce the risk of robots grabbing the email address for spamming.
  • Be sure to send the email to us from the email address you used to register with ClassWish, as that helps ensure the security of your account.  

If your order exceeds the amount in your ClassWish Wish List account, please visit ClassWish.org to make a tax-deductible contribution to your own wish list right after you place your request.
5.  What Happens Next 
  • We will check to make sure you have enough funds in your ClassWish account.  
  • If so, we will deduct the order amount from your ClassWish account.
  • We will submit the order to Teacher's Discovery and pay for it.
  • We will send you a confirmation.
  • Teacher's Discovery will ship the materials to you at your school.  
  • You and your students will get the resources you need.
  • You will tell other teachers so they can get support, too.  In fact, why not do that, right now?
How to attract more donations:

People want to help kids.  All you have to do is let them know your wish list exists.  Use the social media buttons on your page to share via Facebook and Twitter; link to it from your blog; email it to friends; and see the link on your wish list page to more tips.
